The Ruckus ZoneFlex R300 is an entry-level 802.11n indoor access point (AP) designed for bandwidth-intensive and latency-sensitive applications like voice and video over Wi-Fi. It operates on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands concurrently. The ZoneFlex R300 combines patented adaptive antenna technology and automatic interference mitigation to deliver consistent, predictable performance. BeamFlex technology works with advanced channel optimization to enhance wireless performance.
Key features:
- Performance: The R300 supports two-stream MIMO 2×2:2 and can support over 250 clients per AP. It can achieve up to 600 Mbps of physical layer throughput.
- Antenna Technology: It uses BeamFlex, an adaptive antenna technology, to extend range and coverage. It has 128 unique antenna patterns (64 per band).
- Interference Mitigation: The R300 automatically mitigates interference, with up to 10dB of interference mitigation. It can improve signal-to-interference and noise (SINR) by up to 4dB.
- Channel Selection: ChannelFly dynamic channel management automatically selects channels for the highest throughput.
- Quality of Service (QoS): The R300 provides differentiated services with multiple SSIDs, supports isochronous, multicast IP video streaming, and has four queues per client station.
- Other Features: It supports standard 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE), router mode with NAT and DHCP services, and advanced QoS packet classification. It also supports WPA-PSK (AES) and 802.1X for RADIUS and Active Directory
